One nice thing about being middle aged is that the friends you lost touch with while they were raising kids have time to catch up now & everybody has changed but hasn't.

Just had dinner with a high school friend I've been out of touch with for 35 years. We laughed just like old times (new stories, same sense of humor). So great.

Haha. One of my best friends just came for the weekend. His son’s entering uni this fall and his girl is heading into gr 11 and has a job. So, yeah! Catching up. Same as it ever was. But old enough to appreciate connecting now, because we do it so infrequently.
