There are “no links whatsoever between the offshore wind development activity and especially the humpback whale mortalities. None. Zero.” But oil & gas & shipping interests sure want you to think wind energy is what's killing whales 🧪 www.scientificamerican.com/article/whal...

Instead of thinking about the pollution and global warming oil & gas & shipping are directly contributing to.

I’m for wind. Not the best article though. Ending, but oil and gas are worse than us. Pollution is kind of pollution. New England doesn’t need wind in the water. Their coastal lands are sufficient. Why appease people? They are really not an eye sore and are providing tremendous benefits.

If temperature changes in the ocean is to blame for the whales being increasingly in conflict with shipping, then why did that happen only since 2017 and only where windpower facility surveying was being done?

Much more likely for a tanker or coal carrier to cause a whale death, whale are smart and a static object, Ie an iceberg ora windmill, is far easier avoided than a ship.

There’s some conspiracy theory lovers in NJ that basically have been brainwashed by a special interest group under the guise of environmental protection that need to hear this. Local TV news outlets give the group a lot of attention, unfortunately.

It’s crazy, on the other site you’ll see activists unironically retweeting Texas state legislators and natural gas lobbyists

Those oil & gas & shipping interests sure are incredible environmentalists when there's no science involved but money is involved. Imagine if they cared when an industry did impact the planet... When did those industries last willingly make a change
