That the research was biased by greed is nothing new. Low cholesteral increases your risk of dying but that result was covered up for decades. You can't fool pets and babies is a strong indicator that there is something positive in the relationship. What that is has not been determined.

Maybe not, but for those who respect and care for pets, it’s that they make your life better in the many moments. Not to mention, how cool is it that we can (mostly) communicate with another species? Like that vitamin study saying they don’t translate to longer life. I doubt that’s why we take them.
