This is predictable but so important: Pasteurizing milk kills the H5N1 bird flu virus that is circulating widely in dairy cattle. It's easy to take a 150-year-old technique that has saved countless lives for granted, but don't fool around with unpasteurized dairy products. 🧪

Stopping to drink milk and stop eating dairy products would do the trick, too... And it would end the exploitation of animals.

When it was just the entire Republican caucus of the West Virginia legislature giving themselves explosive diarrhea, I laughed, because hey: FAFO. I did not anticipate that these assholes would figure out a way they could drink raw milk and make the rest of us sick.

Stupid question maybe, but is Mozzarella di bufalo save, as it is often made from raw milk. I guess not?

Lol I love that there’s a raw milk movement going on and I do not care what happens to those people

Do NOT drink raw milk. Do NOT eat soft raw cheese. Hard raw cheese is typically fine unless you're pregnant or immunocompromised, which is why it's legal and the other isn't. But DO NOT DRINK RAW MILK.

"Is there some way we could pasteurize the blood? Internally? That will knock out the virus. Can we look into that?" - the stable genius that is Trump

This is actually not true. Viruses are extremely tough. Common Flash pasteurization is not great. Some viruses can survive chemical and long pasteurization. They go dormant stage which is a little safer.

I wonder what is the demographic overlap between anti-vaxxers and anti-pasteurizers...
