I always heard fish and chips came from Spanish Jews fleeing the Reconquista. Certainly the best chippy in my part of London, when I lived there, was Jewish run (the Nautilus on Fortune Green Road) and used matzo meal in the batter

We tend to think standard camera lenses are the same as the naked eye, but in fact they're slightly wide-angle, so things look further away. A longer lens (or a moderate zoom in) is more realistic, insofar as the moon should look more like what we see irl (not an expert)
