As someone with 60+ years of dairy experience (farm kid, farmer, University Ext educator, and dairy pharma sales rep: These people are nuts.
They're taking unnecessary risks so they can "feel" better about their dairy consumption.

Room and board for choring and field work on a Iowa dairy and hog farm, aged ~5-6 till HS graduation. Toss in a bike at 10 and dirt bike at 14.

Good interview - well done. The authors are spot-on in holding rural voters responsible for electing people whose legislation undermines their communities.
Democrats try to do the right things and occasionally succeed. Republicans don't even try.
