In 1993, the Canadian federal election saw the ruling Conservatives go from 156 seats to… 2 Yep, they lost 154 seats. There are 295 seats in the 🇨🇦 federal HoC, and you need 148 for a majority.

Oddly enough, their unpopularity was exploited by new emerging parties bent on hoovering up dissatisfied Conservative voters. One of those parties was called Reform. The embers of that Conservative party eventually merged with a rebranded Reform, forming the Conservatives of today.
