The survivors, brought to their senses by the disaster, gave chase to the woman; but she, laughing in mockery, changed herself into a wren and flew away.

Yeah I mean what we need to do is make sure that those people are paying the true cost of their energy usage.

And I don't think we would want to be in a situation where it is impossible for people to waste energy for legal reasons or because of societal constraints.

In many ways my inability to nurse a grudge long past the point of sanity is one of the barriers to my advancement in the Labour party (the other one is that I don't do anything).

I really should despise Wes but my dislike has sort of burnt out at this point from overuse. I'm not very good at carrying a long grudge.

So I think if there's increased criminalisation you sometimes want to think about just prohibiting their use rather than cooperating with the regs.

While this is true, there are ethical issues with that kind of thing I think. Specifically, like, to be quite frank my white larper mates are very blasé about carrying that stuff around in a way that like, my non-white mates would be, especially round London.

I don't mind having broader recall mechanisms. I can see the sense in that as long as care is taken to make sure it shouldn't be abused (for instance, an MP targeted by a malicious harassment campaign by an abuser, a very real threat unfortunately).

Definitely think we might be heading towards a crossbow ban in this country, which will be a shame for some niche pursuits but probably sadly necessary.

Essentially I think this would lead to MPs being less independently minded and increase the power of the whips. I don't think this is a good thing.

If you as the voter feel that your decision to appoint an MP was an unwise one, for any reason, traditionally barring actual crime the time to actually get rid of them is the next election.

I'm sure you would, but I don't this is desirable all the same. We don't vote for parties in this country - when we vote for an MP we are handing a specific person a chunk of power.

AI is very bad but some of the arguments about its energy use seem totally divorced from any understanding about how much energy anything else costs.

That doesn't sound like that much individual power. Like the environmental impact of the training is bad but that doesn't sound like much for an individual generation.

I didn't mean to undermine your point which I think is not unfair, but basically I just don't get that bothered with who politicians meet up and be polite to as long as it doesn't affect the actual way they wield their platforms and power.
