oh yeah, beware of XS spoilers. Ive had so many big facts spoiled without even fully being within its fan spaces yet. Being fully submerged into XG for the past few years and only just barely into XB fandom anymore, ironically the XB fans spoil more than XG fans.

Yeah afaik Mitsuda didnt ever return to compose for any other XS media after 1. XS2 has some great tracks so far (almost done playing it) but it's techno is kinda generic at times. Even tho I like the winter track it sounds like smtn more in line w the Castlevania DS titles than anything Xeno to me

Its actually called ShieldKnight in the Japanese version. As all of Elly's squad's Gears are named after their weapons and that guy's equipped with double shield things on both arms. The word aegis means protection.

like, unless the person IS homophobic, personally I see it as questioning our culture that's always heavily focused on the over-importance of romantic relationships and that it doesn't ever seem that there's as much emphasis on other types of relationships that are just as meaningful.

From how I see it- not regarding those who are homophobic and using it as a cover for being an awful person- but on its own its basically the lgbtqia+ version of "why does everyone always have to pair girls and guys together romantically, why cant they just be friends/found family"

(Though if you aren't careful you can get locked out of some of the best ones if you don't gather and complete all of the "timed" ones which you can get locked out of if you progress the story past a certain point, "Mechonis Core". Obligatory warning I feel I have to tell everyone)

Yeah, while XB1's sidequests can be a slog at times w/ just how many of them there are, I think overall it's totally worth 100%ing them at least once bc of how much they add to the worldbuilding & overall experience, with all the named NPCs bringing the world to life & making your experience richer.

He's been doing work for Xenoblade since 2017 alongside the other XB composers. Initially ~2009 he didnt want to work on another Xeno game, like he felt the "series" didn't need him, but was convinced to join XB1's OST by writing the vocal theme. Then took a more active role in XB2 and XB3's OSTs.

Anywho, if you want (if you're playing DE) you could always use casual mode since it sounds like you aren't exploring the side questing at all and hitting level walls in the main story.

And jrpgs are great for offering new ways of looking at the world & can change your perspective when it comes to things in your own life. I think rushing thru games to clear a backlog also eliminates a lot of time left to ponder the msg in the art, that important aspect of storytelling takes time

No offense intended, just an observation, but,,, that sounds like a sad way of experiencing games/storytelling. Backlogs and such that you have to power thru rather than experiences; feels like in the end it wouldnt allow you the freedom to enjoy the art form, that its all just boxes to check off

I keep thinking about that page in Perfect Works that says they wanted to give Fei's design another pass, but didn't have the time so they had to leave it how it was. The protagonist!!
