it's so weird to me that reform got 14.3% of the total votes but only 5 seats. Lib dems got less votes and got 12x the seats. not that I'm complaining, mind you, fuck reform.

Simple majority voting (fptp) by constituencies will do that. 10% of the vote spread evenly across the country gets no seats. 10% concentrated in a region, e.g. Lib Dems in the South West, gets a lot. It's an entirely broken system, yes.
