Non-judgmental practical support is about all you can achieve, and not always that. You certainly can’t talk them into sobriety (unless professionally trained to do so) #TheArchers

I think an opportunity is being offered. If she is taken seriously re the not guilty plea and help in proving it is offered, she will perhaps feel listened to, believed, and therefore, real.
