I've heard that Leica believed 36x24mm is the smallest frame size that still makes good prints. But modern films probably have a far better resolution then 100 years ago. What's that Zeiss formula?

I just think we've made progress in democratising art and shouldn't go back to how things used to be, when only rich people could afford art which they bought with blood money. People didn't hate NFTs because they're digital but for being expensive investment vehicles.

He was unexpectedly smart about it. I even felt bad about saying no and asked if he wanted to do portraits of strangers instead, he quickly lost interest after that. I guess I expect it to go more like: "Hi I'm a creep, wanna take some pictures?"

Cool! But that's kind of the point. We've trained ourselves to not see men as beautiful. Counting Ilfords recent portraits it's like 9 women vs 3 men. KodakP. is 10 vs 4. No bad vibes! Just maybe it makes somebody feel better...

I got into photography because I saw a woman with a camera and thought: "She looks cool I want to do that too!" It can make a difference. On the other hand it's weird that a lot of the known female photographers do selfies. Never seen a guy using selfis in his works.

K400 is wonderful. But I'm really surprised of the quality! I'm on my phone but those don't look like half frame. Why is less silver more flexible? Delta/Tmax films use less silver and are not as flexible as HP5/TriX.

The problem is women photographers are up to 40% less visible on social media, in awards and as brand ambassadors. Sometimes it's even 100%. But I don't even know were to start to help change that. Which is very frustrating.

From what I've read and was told offline it's mostly family. I went to a couple photo walks and got frustrated often being the only woman. And the problem isn't even like I assumed that there aren't a lot of female photographers. 80% of photo students are women. But if they go pro they earn 47% less

Hey #believeinfilm people how did you get into photography?
I'm asking because photography feels like a closed circle. Photograpic art is mostly consumed and bought by other photographers. While musicians/writers/[...] are probably consumers of the medium before they contribute to it.

Never happend to me. I use the spot healing tool in lightroom for dust and scratches. Maybe it's different then the Photoshop one. I think Lr is also less capable. Removing something as big as a trashcan would look really obvious.

Yes propaganda is everywhere. And I'd argue Christians check the boxes for fascism. They are the in-group and everybody else is the "other" which they want to murder/put in hell. My point was that if fascist don't like someone they're probably not that bad of a human being. But yes you're right.

Fascist are categorically Anti-Art. Art to them only exist for propaganda. The Nazis wanted to copy roman statues and Bavarian landscapes to the end of time. They put non-Aryan art in a museum to mock how "degenerat" artists are. If you make something new, something different they want you gone.

I figure Bluesky won't mind books. Recently read this and love it. Making the monster the protagonist is such a good concept and very relatable. It has surprisingly good fight scenes for a romance book and yet cute cuddly parts. One of the few books I wanted to reread immediately.

I shouldn't judge an expired film but I prefer Delta100. Tmax100 is very flat. I should try it in the Bronica/Canon those lenses have more contrast then the Rolleicord

Expired Tmax 100 Shoot it at box speed and the negative looks good. Although my washing solution is pink now, that's a first. I don't see Tmax 100 pictures often but some absolutely love it. I think Kodak reduced it's price for 120, now it's 9€. <3

Stupid question but what model and problem is easy to fix if one wanted to get into repairing cameras? My Bronica S2A has the mirror foam focus thing but it wouldn't be smart to start with a camera I actually use. Some people apparently have shattered their mirror while doing it...

But with expensive Sony Alpha cameras. On multiple occasions we just stood on the sidewalk and they snipped portraits of people with zoom and AF. People gave us very annoyed looks. Not saying my way is superior they make money, I don't. But it was boring and less involved then using your legs. (2/2)

I think basic cameras like CanonAE1 (or whatever your favourite brand is) are the best to learn on. My first camera was the family Nikon D3300 with kit zoom. All I did was zoom and press AF. I recently went on a photo walk with digital photographers and they still do the same thing. (1/2)
