I really wanted to like it, and I did for the first few episodes, even the super self-indulgent season premiere. I saw the critiques and just kept going "people need to just experience this and not pick at every little thing", but by the end I could not help but agree with the criticism. Bummer.

My favorite pushback to the criticism is “you just don’t get it.” Yeah, I get it. It just seems obvious when a show starts to get high off its own supply.

I don't mind that it's gotten more "cinema"-y as their restaurant has also gotten more prestigious. That's kind of my read anyway. I'm still watching and enjoying it, although I definitely get this critique.
