Also reminded me of the 1991 Louisiana gubernatorial election wherein the only reason Edwards won a 4th term (while indicted for a host of crimes) was because his opponent in the race was David Duke "Vote for the Crook, Not the Duke" et al.

I could only confirm the first as Naoyuki Kato, since the 2nd and 3rd are reprints and not in the usual database I consult. They don't look quite like the same style, either. But I would love to mention the manga edition of Two Faces of Tomorrow by Yoshinobu Hoshino

Continued to hold onto it because it's one of the few games by XING Software that I've ever found in the used stores, and I liked another game by that studio (Meremanoid, for all its faults) I should give it another go next time I hook up the PS3

Hah, I have this one! The only reason I still do is because it got stuck in my PS3 (tray motor failure) for six months while I was weeding out my games shelf, but still... I recall that the area maps were semi-random and you had a time/turn limit to explore per chapter (?) It's been a while...

I find it kind of odd that "The Case of the Toxic Spell Dump (parts 1 & 2)" are the first of only two items by Turtledove to be translated into Japanese (Other one is "The Ring and I - Meditations on Middle Earth") Anyhoo, cover by Kosuge Kumi

OK, couldn't immediately ID the first unknown, but it's the latest edition of that particular collection (March 2024 printing) The other's art is accredited to "Dillon Fusai" on the cover

I'm going to guess this is how Faxanadu ended up as a featured game setting in one or more episodes of "Captain N the Game Master" Given the series, I doubt it was an accurate adaptation, but it was still in there.

Grr, got all these little animal and bird pics I want to share off my phone, but first the thing starts exporting all photos in a proprietary format a few months back that requires editing to work with other stuff, and now it's JPG and MOV files that don't work with anything else? >_<; stupid phone

#1 is either Iwabuchi Keizou or Tsuruta Ichiro, depending on whether it's the '68 or '78 edition (same translator, so can't tell from that alone) #3 is Kaneko Sanzou
