Season one ends pretty much where the novel ended, so they’d have to write beyond Clavell’s story. Possible, because Clavell’s estate is involved. I read somewhere that they’re considering adapting another of his novels though. I’d watch either :)

I’m in the middle of The Tainted Cup, and immensely enjoying the characters. Worldbuilding is great too. A bit early for an evaluation of the plot, but it’s a mystery, so there’s likely to be a satisfying “aha” somewhere along the way.

So much of it is designed (I think) to maximize stress and anxiety. I have friends/family who enjoy these feelings because (they say) they are temporary. I don’t enjoy being upset for hours. But I can’t always tell how I’m going to react to a movie or series from trailers and recommendations.
