Not having a VP (which will happen for the next 7 months) makes Kamala being assassinated a much higher prospect and then installing Mike Johnson as president. We can't afford that danger.

I think this is way overstating the actual risk of a succesful assassination given the reality of how crazy intense the Secret Service security bubble is. The danger is Trump winning. That's what we can't afford. And the chances of that happening are vastly higher than somebody killing Harris.
