While there were individual elements of Netflix's Bebop I appreciated, like the set designs, the soundtrack and Mustafa Shakir's spot-on portrayal of Jet Black I could not divorce the feeling that they completely failed at focusing the story around the class issues which were at the crux of the OG.

Oh, and there was also the "black male" line I physically contorted when that painfully bad line was uttered. I can't excuse that.
