I saw a notice about the water being shut off from 10pm to 6am. So I filled bowls and pots with water. What is not in the pictures is the bathtub full of water. Wojo only seems mildly annoyed at the sounds of the fire works or maybe at me for taking his picture.

That is just one room. So many cool things. And Fort Tryon park is great too. My cat Wojo was rescued in the herb garden 15 years ago. I have a 2 hour commute to one job and a 45 minute to another (all public transportation) but I still love living here.

I know this can happen. But, about 8 years or so ago is when I first had to deal with diabetes. My cat Trillian had it. We kept in under control for about a year. Then she crashed hard. It turned out that under the diabetes was lymphoma. Now they can run a more complete test, but it costs $800.

My cat Wojo was diagnosed with diabetes today. I'm sad and overwhelmed. It is not the diabetes itself. I had to deal with this before. It is that I just lost my cat Gand a few months ago to an illness that he had no chance of beating. Diabetes is not the same, but shit.

There is a thing in my neighborhood where people blast music from their vehicles. It seems some will stay in one spot and do so while others drive around with music blasting. The loudness can be painful even when I'm home with all my windows closed.

I'm 61 years old. When I was 11, I remember being horrified by a lot of what was happening in the world. I never watched that movie because I could see what was coming a mile away. It wasn't that movie that traumatized me.

Lately Lucy is tolerating Mau more. Just a day or so ago, I noticed Mau's meows changing. Before his meows were scratchy. Now he is incorporating a sort of squeak that sounds an awful lot like Lucy. Could it be that Lucy is giving Mau tips to get my attention?

I do worry about this. For one of my three cats, the organization I adopted him from will find a home for him if I die first. For the other two, I'm not sure what I will do. Right now, I really can't home more than three. Vets have become so expensive.
