Look, sometimes I dream that I'm caught in a scream it's a honest dream theme so I don't like a scheme that ends dream and scream. (I never once promised ANYONE on this site that I would would offer GOOD rhyming poetry. Rhyming poetry, sure. BUT I STOPPED THERE.)

I remember meeting one of the developers for Internet Explorer back in the day and he was like, great money - awesome money - great time off, great everything but I promise you the executives will keep screwing this up. (He is no longer with Microsoft.)

In order to find it ON THE DEVICE you have to scroll way down in SETTINGS to the ABOUT page which tells me: Windows 11 Home, 23H2, Build 22631.3880

....you know, while we are all screaming about this, it's Microsoft 365 Family but there is no easy way ON THE ACTUAL DEVICE to determine which version/build is on this laptop. When you try to check, it sends you to a webpage which STILL DOESN'T HAVE THAT INFO EASILY ACCESSIBLE.

I obviously have no idea if GRRM is going to stick to that ending in the books, but it was planned at least as far back as the writing for A CLASH OF KINGS. The show endings for Tyrion and Bran are foreshadowed in the very first book.

And for what it's worth, Sansa Stark's ending, complete with the North saying, yeah, we're out of here, is HEAVILY foreshadowed in the books. (And in both Fire and Blood AND House of the Dragon, for that matter.)

The only real unknowns at the end are: 1. Where is the dragon? 2. What will Arya find? 3. Will King's Landing finally install ramps and accessibility throughout the city/Red Keep now that a wheelchair user is in charge?

Microsoft, I didn't and don't WANT more AI added to my Windows experience. What I did want - and honestly didn't think this was a reach - was for you to STOP CHANGING MY SETTINGS IN WORD.

Yeah, this, though admittedly I am a little less harsh on the final episode because I'm a wheelchair user and HEY FINALLY WE WON SOMETHING that was pretty cool. Not exactly well set up, I grant you, and I understand the WAIT WHAT from audience members, but, still, pretty cool. Setup, though.

They tied off most of those threads, though. (Probably even giving some characters - hi, Brienne! - a much happier ending than they will get in the books). The major exception is Dany. The build up could have been there - it's there in the earlier seasons - but it wasn't, in the show.

Yeah, this. The setup for what happens to Dany (and to a lesser extent Bran, Jon, and Sansa) is all there in the first four to five seasons....but they didn't CONTINUE that setup in seasons six and seven.

I mean I am not trying to make an argument for the quality of ANYTHING in that trailer. Well, other than the rhinoceros because that was quality atrociousness in film, right there. I MEAN SOMEONE WAS RIDING IT. Does that make up for the dialogue? Well. No. But, rhino!

also based on the trailer it's pretty clear that I will be cheering, not for freedom or for any of the gladiators, really, but for the rhino. GO RHINO GO YOU SHOW THEM WHAT BEING A GLADIATOR REALLY MEANS

One of my surgical wounds has reached the "YES, SO I'M GOING TO KEEP ITCHING REGARDLESS" stage and although I have been assured that this is a good sign, it's also a highly irritating one.
