I used to be more invested and involved/worked in the tech industry but I just seemed to experience waves of jargon more removed from reality with each pass - it seems the buzz moved from hardware - to software - to virtualization - cloud - IoT -ML - now AI- AKA the Nothing. It really is a Nothing.

I’ve just a watcher bc my industry, wireless telecom, is based on new technology that constantly has to be deployed. I’m with you for the most part. I have no doubt there are some serious b2b AI applications, but most of it is vaporware. My experience with AI 1/2
