What I've seen from family the idea that you'll go back & visit family may soon disappear when you encounter the cost of doing so once here+crap wages. think a more intense feeling of isolation may set in. A big factor i think for Ukrainians that took up the offer of 'come to NZ' + abysmal support.

Oh 100%, in the 16 years I've been here I've only gone back three times, my dad has only gone back twice and my sister and mum five times and we only moved from Australia and still were pretty well off.
