This is a historically critical election, it is uncontroversial to suggest that the party looking to win has a lot of work to do. Should young people also get more engaged? Of course they should. All hands on deck.

I guess what I don't like about the framing is that it's the same framing used by aloof nihilists to illustrate simultaneously criticizing the state of the situation while distancing themselves from any responsibility. Youth disengagement is an active choice, not a force of nature.
