The TikTok forced sale will apparently be attached to the foreign aid bill, with Senate & WH buy in. One of the only non-funding bipartisan policy changes this congress, with the large deal demonstrating continued foreign policy establishment exceptionalism.

Foreign policy is actually the key area where rich opinion is overrepresented in policymaking, often because the corporate & foreign policy think tank elite share the opinions of the rich. Foreign aid is a repeated example:
