Earlier this week I was honoured to receive the Aviation/Aerospace Australia Chair’s Award for leadership in the aviation sector. Best of all, Angus joined me on stage, looking dapper in his tuxedo onesie. I love being his mum, I love what I do, and I love that we don’t have to choose.

Since December, I have handed over command of mighty 10 Squadron (including retiring the Aussie P3), and @syd04.bsky.social and I have moved interstate, prepped a house for sale, done a kitchen reno, HAD A BABY, and started new jobs. Today our Adelaide Hills house settled. Tonight we celebrate.

Settling a crying baby is like troubleshooting an aircraft malfunction. There’s a number of things that could be wrong. If you know your systems, you can attack them in order of probability. So you do the checklist and keep moving down the list until the alarm stops.
