This really is the thing. There is an absolute commitment to maintaining a political status quo that hasn't been fit for task for 20 years. The gap between what must be done and what can be done is getting wider every year and the only political energy is put into keeping it this way.

Yeah and there's a huge underestimation of how many people are voting Labour out of a last, desperate hope the absolutely dire situation they're in will be fixed. When nothing improves there's going to be explosive anger.
