True but a lot of formerly comfortable people have complained how not boring the last few years in the UK have been. Drastic energy price rises was a big one for that. They think they're going be safe again under Labour but are set to be disappointed.

There's also I think a belief that because a leader isn't showy it doesn't mean they won't do drastically harmful things. But Mitch McConnell is a deeply bland and boring man and he has done so much deliberate harm and damage. Starmer is likely to be his UK version.
