I think my point is the GOP, Heritage + Originalist crowd are reverting to family/private property concepts of liberty that resembles what is in the link I posted above. Revolutionary America didn’t invent a new political world as much as it seized the right to not be taxed without representation.

Those competing notions have always been there and don't map all that neatly onto who used the words liberty or freedom. And the ideological origins of the American Revolution (go Bailyn!) are vastly complicated. Fractal, even. Lots of different, often contradictory ideas and impulses went into it.
