Middle East Eye has exclusively obtained a copy of the ceasefire proposal made by Israel and passed by mediators to Hamas last week. It says Israel has agreed to a ‘temporary cessation of military operations’ for 42 days, to be followed by open-ended talks to reach a permanent ceasefire.

The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says Israel hit a school overnight in Nuseirat ‘without prior warning to the displaced or UNRWA.’ 6,000 displaced people were sheltering at the school when it was targeted and at least 40 died, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
