Does AIPAC have any pull whatsoever with rank and file Dem voters? Everyone knows it’s a right-wing evangelical Christian group, right? I’d see an AIPAC attack on a candidate as a good reason to vote for them.

Currently, AIPAC's ratings among Dems are quite low, but this is a recent development. But more importantly, they're very willing to spend big in primaries and use whatever attack sticks, not just Israel. They went after Donna Edwards last election cycle on allegedly poor constituent service.

Yes. Absolutely. Online it has a bad reputation (deservedly so) but it is considered a 100% normal organization that has normal representatives at your normal religious and civic organizations.
