This female Japanese shore crab in the Wadden Sea was busy releasing her babies into the water! You can see the tiny zoea larvae being released into the plankton where they will live for several weeks and many will be eaten. The few survivors settle on the bottom again.

The anemone in this picture underscores the message - Relicanthus belongs to a lineage, coequal to stony or black corals or true anemones in evolutionary distinctness. It was described < 20 years ago. How many major discoveries would be obliterated by mining? Why won't we protect this unique place?

some things we, as a society, have recently done to teens: -traumatized them with gun violence -vastly reduced their rights to reproductive healthcare -had a moral panic about their genders -abandoned them to the ravages of covid, destroying their immune systems it's not tiktok that fucked em up
