I read your article. I think there’s a simpler motivation for many patriarchal men: “I want to reproduce. I need someone with a uterus (usually smaller than me) to do so. I don’t respect their boundaries/see them as a person. Raping and otherwise controlling them will ensure I make a baby.” 1/2

The perversion of the desire to reproduce into something used to strong-arm others into it out of reproductive anxiety is a common thread between punishment of gender/sexuality/gender role “deviation” and punishment of the refusal to have children for any reason. 2/2
