Agree. Also should point out that study estimated Covid mortality rate was 35% higher (confidence interval 10%-66%), not 60% higher as OP claimed; and all-cause death rates in NZ are lower now than pre-pandemic

do we know the "why" on that? Fascinating stat. General broader attempts to avoid getting ill as a covid hangover? Better basic public health awareness fromt he public? We all suddenly got fit and went vegan over lockdown and never went back?
