yeah, streaming a song however many times does not remotely equate to actual sales, especially considering how poorly streaming services pay artists- like if some musician in the '70s claimed he sold the equivalent of a million records because they played it on the radio a lot

And what’s ironic about this is that artists were/are paid fairly handsomely in performance royalties for significant airplay! Wild how radio never got factored into this “sales equivalence” nonsense like streaming has 🤔
