She doesn't view sexism/misogyny as only a situation where one gender has structured society to its benefit. Rather, she views that hierarchy as *natural & inevitable*, so the goal of feminism is to protect the position of the inherently lesser group.

One of my roommates in grad school c.2013 had a lot of arguments that I'd recognize today as TERF talking points about womanness requiring certain biological functions, some of which are noble sufferings, and that trans women are basically stolen valor because they get to skip the noble sufferings
