Hyperactive types are often caught earlier because they're often disruptive. Because it's more common in boys, it led to the early misconception ADHD was a boy thing. Daydreamers were missed because, especially for little girls, being quiet was seen as a good thing

Absolutely. So they've changed the ADHD diagnosis to have "primarily hyperactive type" and "primarily inattentive type" or mixed. Women *tend* to be more inattentive whereas men *tend* to be more hyperactive, but either can be either type. Inattentive is more likely to slip by on smarts

Aside from people connections, I love how he says he's "well off (in scare quotes), but he's been priced out of areas, therefore admitting not everyone can afford to live anywhere they want, yet he completely misses that point.

Xbox Live is down. I don't have an Xbox. What I do have is a Minecraft realm I need to finish some builds in before I teach my 4½ year old nephew to play in two days.
At least someone is happy about this.

Some of the families asked the judge to order it liquidated, some didn't want that because that's how Jones makes money to pay them, the judge decided not to *force* the liquidation, though Jones would eventually not actually own Infowars. But now the trustee is like, nope, gotta go.

There's probably a guy in legal who has had substantial thoughts that are "well shit, if Frank's wife gets one of those cups, he's going to come in here asking if we can sue, Frank is always asking if we can sue, so I better be able to explain it to a 5yo why that's a stupid idea, freaking Frank."

As for the actual YSL case, I don't know Georgia rules. Is there a path for an interlocutory appeal on this? If so, does it require the judge to certify the appeal? (which, if so, it doesn't seem like he would do.) Or will they just have to wait and preserve for direct appeal (years later...)?

And as a bonus, deciding having the court reporter at the meeting was curative because it's part of the record, and then denying defendant (and codefendant, whose counsel stood up to demand the transcripts) that part of the record.

I trained my labrador to have a strong understand of hers and not hers, so she doesn't put my things (or my nephews' things) in her mouth. Even so, if a dryer ball gets near her, she will scoop it up, and then stare at me concerned, "I did a thing! What do I do now?!" Instincts are strong.

This episode is so good, and also so infuriating, because the bleedingly-obvious tactics that are being used to house transphobia in moral panics and pseudoscience keeps being peddled because it keeps working. Worth a listen.
