Unpopular opinion: I am not a political expert but I am a “raised in fundamentalist white evangelicalism” expert. And if you think a Jewish socialist could have won in 2016, or a black woman could win this year (especially last minute), you fundamentally don’t understand what you are up against.

This shit has been in the works LITERALLY since desegregation, and every time they lose, they double down and get more radical and more insular. White Christian nationalism is an infection in the unhealed wounds of this country, and its shadow reaches further than you can imagine.
