It took 10 hours and 20+ creek crossings, but hiking to and from the confluence of Havasu Creek and The Colorado River was the highlight of my adventure at Havasupai.

The final of the falls at Havasupai. Beaver Falls is a series of tiered pools that cascade down into the Grand Canyon.
Probably the most visually striking of the waterfalls.

📍 Mooney Falls, May 2024.
This is one of my favorite shots.
Mooney Falls is the largest and most intimidating of the five falls at Havasupai. It towers at over 200 feet tall, and requires a harrowing descent to the plunge pool below.

📍Little Navajo Falls, May 2024.
The newest and smallest of the falls in Havasupai.
These cascades were created after a 2008 flood altered the course of Havasu Creek.

📍Fifty Foot Falls, May 2024.
The first of the five falls of Havasupai. The least visited, most overlooked of the bunch. It requires wading through waist high water to find, but absolutely worth it.

If you are looking for a more technical hike on the east coast, look no further than Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina.
It is a bit crowded , and requires permits, but it is a unique adventure and definitely worth the effort.

The Little Schloss & Big Schloss Loop is a hike located within just a few hours of DC.
It is a relatively easy hike with a few nice vistas of the aforementioned summits

Spruce Knob and the Seneca Creek Backcountry has some really fun, not difficult hiking trails. It may not be the most scenic hikes in WV, but it is perfect for a beginner or shakedown hike.
