I just watched a few of them, and I'm dumbfounded. Is it a way to make art "more relatable?" Try out a new format from the typical "curator in the galleries" approach? I really want help understanding this!
What is most baffling to me is the binder clips. I am 100 percent positive that the National Gallery has the technology to mount prints on foam board, presumably something their design departments do daily.
Okay I used to produce video documentaries and I'm betting it's about the production somehow. The video people got banned from the galleries for some reason, or someone got a bug in their head about what would look "good" on youtube, or they lost all funding and are trying to make it work.
