I saw this story on Yahoo. It had over a thousand comments all yapping about 'biological advantage' and blaming the mother for 'lying' about her child's sex. Not a single post acknowledged that a Trans girl who started puberty blockers before puberty, has no biological advantage what so ever

It also was a legal change that she had to make in the system after going through the courts. She didn't lie to anyone. The idea that florida clerks will issue a marker change arbitrarily on a whim is totally at odds with material reality.

Such a big advantage that she... sat on the bench for the team. There isnt a single fig leaf for the anti-trans assholes to rely on here. Didnt change with the team. No complaints from students. Clearly very much liked by classmates. And some adult blew it up.

This is the part about transphobia that's most bizarre to me because like...don't most cis people have memories of playing outside or whatever with mixed-gender groups of kids before puberty and what that was like and how that changed after puberty? Do folks genuinely...not remember this stuff?
