Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1,000 a month. Results showed that close to half of the participants secured housing, and nearly $600K saved in public service costs due to fewer ER visits & jail stays. They also saw improved mental health.

I am not at all sold on the coloring on this. Pose isn't all that great, either. But as someone who has spent the entirety of her life trying to take up less space, to look harmless, and to always be far more gentle than is called for, I am trying to embrace the idea of being a little scary.
