I got 3 hours of sleep, had to work and found out there's a system outage, went to make coffee and found out that we're out of sugar, tried honey, found out that the honey had been leaking, then got a work call as I was making coffee. I feel better now. Also honey in coffee is terrible.

I remember studies that said humans infected with Toxoplasmosis have increased risk of certain mental disorders/personality traits but if I recall correctly they haven't found a causal link, it might just be that having certain mental disorders or personality traits impacts hygiene.

At first, it wasn't even a death sentence to be fed upon. They still did execute them, to prevent reproduction... but accidents happen, and vampires still sometimes feed outside of the sanctioned targets. These new vampires are still innocent, but all those chosen do not have enough blood for all.

The worst part is, the book I was thinking of, the guy writing it probably thinks himself an anarchist, or maybe a communist. The enemy is a hyper-capitalist AI, and the other enemies all corrupt oligarchs. Yet... the main character follows the fascist path to power like it's a fucking checklist.

Even the garbage books have a few good ideas. So many great ideas in what essential boils down to a 'hey, wouldn't it be cool if murdering could solve all problems' or 'and then they all fucked' story. Read shitty books too, but try and understand why they are shitty.
