Completely seriously: If the narrative they want to push is "he's not showing up" is there anything that would change that? Like, you can't "make" them do it. You can do things that make it more likely but if they want to stick with this they can indefinitely regardless.

You do things like impromptu speeches at scotus or whatever that basically dare them to not cover you. yes, you can't force anything, but you lean hard into tactics here.
