I teach history and this would be a hard no-go. It doesn’t contain most of world history, nor does it contain entirely factual statements. I use it as any other religious text in class: a way to explain the social climates of the time/region.

My aunt is MtF trans and transitioned in her late 50s. I took care of her after one surgery. That side of the family and I had no real relationship until I moved there after the Marines. Then she and I really hit it off. I remember she asked me to drive her from the VA hospital (fellow vet)>>

Thankfully, I am VERY detailed and also very easy as long as you follow the rules and demonstrate some learning. My course average is around 90 to 93 percent so when the parent sees their 12% kid, they can’t blame me for being “too hard” since the majority have an A+

What sucks is when their other teachers don’t realize the student isn’t doing their own work, such as using tutors or ChatGPT. So they just pass the student with a high grade and during the PTC I’m having to explain how poorly their child follows directions.

Yeah I’m trying to do what I can to force them to follow basic rules by docking points for not doing so. I am flexible with grading but cannot accept things like plagiarism (including ChatGPT) or failing to follow the very simple, spelled-out directions.

In my case, I have very rich students who aren’t used to following the rules and can’t wrap their heads around having to actually do the work or else I will give them a zero.
Worst cases are when they wholesale copy-paste even the links from the original website. #EduSky

I was in engineering class during 9/11 and my professor talked about how well the buildings held up for as long as they did considering they were built to withstand a 707. He had to tell us that the beams didn’t melt, they WARPED, and of course that’s gonna bring it down.

It’s not really a big deal to enjoy garlic and onions unless you do it in lieu of seeking treatment. Not sure why they’re so scared of tested medication so they go for unsubstantiated claims instead.

I feel like the idea of nuance is lost on a lot of people. They listen to be sensationalized for better or worse (bias or hate-watching). One of the reasons it took me forever to do microblogging, as the limit encourages buzzwords and quickie arguments.

Similar to ChatGPT, I think there is a narrow use for it. It’s for people who want to get an idea, people interested in AI, or for people who want to make an image but don’t know AND won’t learn AND wouldn’t pay for an artist. People who throw quick YT thumbnails, for example.

They don’t do a good job explaining why it has to be YHWH specifically as the creator deity, as I’m sure you can imagine. They don’t even explain why it has to be a being, and why the being must be eternal. The universe had a beginning, therefore Christianity is true.
