Cis Black Queer women and Trans men are presumed educated, skilled, sober, responsible, family and community minded to a degree that Black Trans Women are not unless they embrace pick-me conservatism, like Flame Monroe, though not every pick-me throws the rest of us under the bus.

That’s literally the only time they care, & it’s literally the only the only time it looks scary to them. It looks terrifying to us constantly. So we’re much more blase about it, & we also have practical methods to employ against it.

Right, because white people only care about injustice, when they get treated for a minute, the way they have done Black people for centuries.

To be clear, I don't see the cause of equal justice for women, cis or trans, as separate pursuits. And instead of a hyper-competitive life of mutually assured failure for all but a few, I invite others to join me in co-operative, mutually assured thriving.

There is that problem, but the original definition of mutual aid of working for a shared common good doesn't make sense to people who have only known 50 years of total immersion in hyper-individualistic, mass media consumer culture presented to them basic human nature.

I don't see the antipathy towards black women growing less in my lifetime. The community surrounding me are neoliberals, believe it's human nature, and that anyone who thinks different, is a fool. co-operation to them is either a sign of weakness or a game, a grift you're running.

I've been active in the free school movement, cooperatives, and intentional communities since early 1970s. Active in scouting, I tried to interest my peers in Black folk arts, crafts, music. The only people I found to share with were my grandparents' generation, and now they're all gone.

I was a paid member of the Foundation for Intentional Community for many years, and had new hope when they sponsored a BIPOC group. Unfortunately, the primarily Cis and AFAB group treated me, a Black, Trans, Lesbian with suspicion and contempt. I tried to respond with respect, which went nowhere.

Before every hearing about this woman, I wasted decades searching for partners in community, open to sharing different versions of the concept. Apparently, the idea's only valid when whyt folx approve, so with what few years I may have left, my project is to go it alone.

Good point. I've never been cool, so I'm reasonably safe. Don't believe everything I think, and question myself, before questioning others.

You mean the #Blacksky list? They didn't ask first, because that wouldn't be cool.

Well, you've proved we can at least now talk about it. When I raised the subject back when this episode aired, I was attacked by friends who saw themselves as progressive minded. They turned into TERFs who abandoned me at transition, and also voted for Obama, then flipped and voted for Trump.
