Here (UK) the opposite applies when close passing happens it's usually the lycra-clad male that gets skimmed by a door mirror and the woman with long hair and a skirt gets a wide pass with the driver the opther side of the road.

Good luck we're in Suffolk and they have been shit since 2006. Camh improved here in 2009 due to merging with N. Essex and forming a 'new' body that had no history. Then went back to being worse than crap a year later! 18 years on and they're still rubbish (lessons have not been learned).

I admire your faith in our and the EU police services. I have had some dealings with Spanish Police, (thugs looking for a fight with the Englishman), UK Police (see numerous items in our newspapers about corruption, murders, rapes, domestic abuse). They are not to be trusted with our information.

ID cards would be an IT nightmare. Ministers can’t help meddling once coding starts and that way madness and budget overruns lie. We also don’t have the contractual expertise necessary to rein in the IT companies.
