Genuine question (I know very little about Mexican politics other than what I see from bad American news outlets) - a puppet of whom? And did she send the soldiers in the way that Eric Adams is sending the cops to the NYC subway system? For fare evasion shit?

She's a puppet of the current president. And he himself is also a puppet for the cartels. As for the soldiers, Sheinbaum sent them in because she said several incidents may have been "acts of sabotage", but the subway workers have said it's due to lack of proper maintenance of the service.
