From a while ago, back when my idea for a graphic novel was a little more anime-like. Was trying stuff with neon sharpies that are fluorescent under blacklight. These are not edited other than being cropped.

Code Walker is up there for me too. Over about 5 years I've compiled a playlist that "sounds like" the graphic novel and/or indie game I've been wanting to make and there's a lot of Mega Drive on it. My art is mostly related to that story/game. Too much pondering, not enough actual work though.

A thing I made for a good friend of mine who goes by "JRoad" in his art. I wish he did more art. He used to draw on blank shipping labels and I would stick those on my sketchbooks. I like decorating the covers with other artists'work.

Today the device designated "RTX 2060" in the logic engine on my desk did too much math at once and burned itself out. Thankfully this will incur no impact to my renderings, as my process involves taking a photo with the broken camera on my glowing rectangle and deep-frying the image with filters.

Artificial Intelligence. It's just a very complicated algorithm. I feel like many people think there's a little person living inside a computer but it's just the digital equivalent of turning a crank that spins tons of gears to make an output based on a ton of input and some dice rolling.

I think what happened is that corporate entities that make a lot of this stuff just want money and they largely either "don't get it" or they just want to appeal to everybody, washing it out. I think one can tell if a piece of media had soul put into it, or conversely, if it was made without a soul.

I feel that. I tend to pass up all the remakes and rehashes of existing properties (I'll make Dune an exception). I like movies one has to or at least can critically think about. My taste in music has just gotten rather esoteric, and as far as games, I like the indie-developed ones that have a soul.
