It's something I legitimately do. It's got plenty of heft. I just put the tofu between paper towels, plate on bottom and a cutting board between the book and the top layer of paper towels. It works rather well.

I use Flonase because my GP suggested I do so after observing discharge in my ears. If nothing else, I am waking up to a stopped up nostril less often. If it further reduces odds of catching COVID (on top of the N95 I wear all dang day) all the better!

Definitely do! I've never looked into the chemistry of the home tests or how securely in the solder the lead is, but a test would at least be able to provide a definitive yes. I would doubt that most jewelers would want to have anything to do with disposing of solder that contains lead, sadly.

The solder likely contains lead. Solders that don't are very prone to becoming brittle, in general. Between that and the age, it's almost definitely lead. I'd consider it a display piece, bot something to typically wear.
