My favorite after the Eagle was this Fury III sedan in the spectator lot. Lowered, dual exhaust, and most exciting for me, a regular tag, not classic/antique. If you have cool shit you should drive it! #weirdcarbs

LOL Carfax in the listing shows it’s been in an accident too. Tbh I’m betting this just gets passed around between dealers looking for a quick flip from here anyway. I do love these cars but there’s too many red flags from someone who’s trying to make a quick buck out of nothing but BAT hype here.

If these tires are anything to go by the rest of the maintenance is anybody’s guess. 82k means is under the threshold for routine tstat/water pump/timing belt service which is usually done between 90-100k, so whoever ends up with this thing will have that to look forward to.

Those 17” wheels are shared with the base trim, 18” were very common by this point in the life cyle. Upon closer inspection they may have put tire wet on but those date codes are all over the place! Two tires say 2018 but the other two are 2014 and 2015!?!? THERE IS VISIBLE DRYROT IN THE SIDEWALL!

This is just a used car. Like it looks relatively well taken care of, but this is literally the definition of nothing special. 2.0T is standard engine, it’s not a stick car, not a unique color combo, it’s not a wagon, based on the options it’s probably Komfort trim which is middle-tier/not loaded.

Stopped to look at a 1950 Nash Ambassador for sale at a local shop. Asking $17k but they’ve had it for a year doing work and the guy was adamant he would come down on the price and let me know I was the first person to stop to look. Do I lowball it and enter my Bathtub Era? #weirdcarbs

*I use capabilities loosely as while a Wrangler can do things offroad, the Cybertruck has yes to prove it can do much of anything without major computer or hardware issues, let alone tackling any harsher than a well-graded gravel road.

The comparison to the JL Wrangler is apt considering they’re both vehicles with flaws that can be dangerous and are primarily bought by urbanites who will never use the capabilities* the design was compromised to retain and paid more than necessary for aesthetic instead of buying something better.

I’ve definitely had them driving like morons only to look and find out it’s the parent on the phone or something and I just have to hope that, if they’ve got a student driver, they’re not the one doing the teaching.

Thanks! It’s my dad’s, but I do most of the wrenching on it. He bought it from the 2nd owner in Texas in 2015 and it has about 28k miles if I remember correctly. He bought two more wagons but they’re in need of a bit more work and haven’t made it to PA from TX yet.

Almost done with the Fox, fronts are assembled waiting for new axles and brake end lines getting replaced tomorrow. I had to pull what I’m calling the Alanis King Maneuver to get the rear top mounts undone in the trunk. My brother’s Cabriolet now has an OEM+ rear disc swap with Mk3 parts #weirdcarbs

Doesn’t even have to be a physical store. I had multiple 2hr+ phone calls of life stories when I worked customer service at a performance radiator company. One guy got so emotional telling the story of his buddy’s shop and hardships he sounded to be on the verge of tears.
