I hate to be the buzzkill here but the action the ACLU is taking is just this petition, which they are going to use to badger you with fundraising emails and text messages. There is no indication they are going to take legal action or even that they have a client for any legal action they might take

There was someone on bsky putting together a lawsuit against mastercard, @pompoison.bsky.social I think? I suspect there hasn't been much movement since suits like this are for the long haul.

The page doesn't even promise they will deliver the petition but it very definitely requires you to give permission for the ACLU and its local affiliates to send you email and, if you have provided a phone number, text messages.

The ACLU sends me emails & texts for donations. I have not donated for several reasons. The main reason is that the ACLU should not have to exist, but America is a Capitalist Judicial system, & the Bill of Rights is a joke. The Rule of Law is a Legacy Of Fraud. SCOTUS & Congress both accept bribes.

Any organization that has been allowed to flourish and grow under this system has been subjugated, and cannot be trusted to fight for the people without radical reform or expropriation.
